DECEMBER 16, 2014

Last December 16, 2014, Globe launched their Generation 3 or “GEN3” stores simultaneously in SM North EDSA – Annex, and Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro.

Globe has always been a pioneer in innovative store designs; and in partnership with NYXSYS Philippines, they made a statement by launching the first ever digital lifestyle store in the country.

The opening of the GEN3 stores puts Globe at par with some of the most iconic stores in the US, and all over the world. None other than Tim Kobe, founder and CEO of Eight, Inc., whose most famous work is the iconic Apple Store in New York, designed the Globe Generation 3 Stores. He mentioned that, “The space is dynamic. It changes with new stories and experiences that support different events and moments. We have elements that move and reconfigure the way entertainment venues support great concerts or shows.”

The GEN3 store is a unique retail concept that does not only serve as a customer care establishment, but a place where their customers can indulge in several entertainment, productivity and lifestyle activities.

It features different “lifestyle zones” with exciting features and services for Globe’s customers to experience. These interactive zones feature the latest trends in devices, entertainment and technology such as Kinect, and a Play Bar where you can have access to different gadgets to try out the latest apps in the market.

Globe Retail Transformation and Management Head Joe Caliro said, "We are taking a giant leap with the new retail concept of our 2 flagship stores. Our Generation 3 stores will bring to life our customers' digital lifestyle and epitomize the aspirations of our customers. Our stores will be a wonderful place where customers can explore and discover exciting finds in the digital space."

Globe is gearing up to transform more of its existing stores into GEN3 stores in 2015 in order to bring the one of a kind, world-class experience to more Filipinos.
